Amen to that that, could not agree more. There really is no right or wrong and it bothers me when people get hung up on that, its so much more about what makes YOU happy and comfortable..that's the beauty of creating a space/room!
Of course, mine certainly has. This house could not be more different than my first. But the point is, stay true to yourself, trust yourself, and enjoy yourself.
Thanks for stopping by. My top recommendation for the Lake District would be The Pheasant Inn. Links are on my post here: http://yonksnews.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/scotland-day-one.html?m=1 I prefer a little more low key also. They have 2 restaurants and we chose the Bistro. The other one was also quite formal. It was a wonderful retreat to the country. Hope you get to visit. Di X
That is so true! I've been helping a couple of clients lately and I find they don't know what they like and they don't have the self confidence in themselves as well. This causes so much confusion and frustration. It's so much easier working with people that know their own personal style to lead and help guide them! The perfect quote!
I agree! It bothers me when people second guess what they love because it may be unconventional. Although this room is quite classic! Have a great weekend! xo Sharon
Hi Phyllis, Love the neutral tones in the bedroom and your adjustments would suit it perfectly. I particularly like the quatrefoil lamp and linen duvet with white linen sheets. All very you. Very me only in my fantasy land. XX. b
Link with love! I would be flattered to have you share my photos, but ask if you do pin or re-post an original image, please credit the photograph to Henhurst Interiors with a link back to this blog. My original photos and text are copyrighted. If it is not my photo please credit the original source which I will always indicate with a link. Many thanks!
I know the shorter the concept the greater the truth.

ReplyDeletePhyllis,
ReplyDeleteSo true. It has taken me a bit of time to acknowledge (to myself) what my personal style in decorating is! :-)

Absolutely and it's going to be become more and more important as the humanization factor merges with technology!
