Totally true!! We had to reinforce the sub-floors of our bookcases due to the weight of all the heavy books.....I still worry! Speaking of books, I am loving my Simon Pearce book. Thank you, friend :-) L
I agree with Cicero. Who knew??? I have books in virtually every room in my home; some of them I have had for more than 50 years. I don't like to part with old friends. Best...Victoria
We sell alot of antique books at my shop and I truly love them! Of course they are all over my bookcases at home and I have a lot that belonged to my great grandmother that I treasure! Loved this! Carolyn
Amen. I could not live without my books. Well, maybe I could live, but I could not flourish. My husband always warned that our house would tip in one direction, but as a former English teacher, I applaud your sentiments. Thanks for reiterating my sentiments exactly. b
I couldn't have put it better myself - I have books spilling out from everywhere in my house, and there is absolutely NO room for any more...and yet they just keep on coming - perhaps they breed in captivity!! Paula xxx
Link with love! I would be flattered to have you share my photos, but ask if you do pin or re-post an original image, please credit the photograph to Henhurst Interiors with a link back to this blog. My original photos and text are copyrighted. If it is not my photo please credit the original source which I will always indicate with a link. Many thanks!

ReplyDeleteBooks tell you so much about the people living in the home too. I love the tufted chair in this picture. x Sharon

Wonderful words! I found my love of books when I was 6 years old & I have had my nose permanently stuck in them ever since.
